Both are delicious multi-layer cakes. Every layer is baked separately to achieve the right thickness and round shape.

Marcinek Cake with vanilla thin layers & Miodownik (Honey) Cake with thicker, yet still light layers of honey-sweet shortcrust pastry.

Each cake consists of 10 - 20 layers filled with homemade creme patissiere or fresh cream.

For something extra, I would add fresh berries, chocolate chunks or crunchy nuts.
