HOW DO I ENQUIRE ABOUT A CAKE?​

HOW MANY FLAVOURS CAN I CHOOSE?

You are welcome to pick 1 flavour for each tier. For 3 tiered cakes, 2 flavours are recommended, and for 4 tiered cakes, 3 flavours are recommended. This is so there will be approximately the same number of servings per flavour once the cake is served. 

 

 

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED FOR PICKUPS?

 

I'm located in the postcode of DE55 2DD. Full address will be supplied once your order is confirmed. Once the cake leaves my premises it becomes your full responsibility. No refunds will be given for damage to the cake caused in transit. 

CAN YOU COPY A CERTAIN DESIGN I HAVE IN MIND?

Inspiration images are very much welcomed, but no cake will be copied like for like. You are free to alter an existing design or I am happy to create something for you if you do not have anything specific in mind. I work best when given creative freedom. I also do not offer fondant novelty cakes. My page and Instagram feed should give you a general idea of the styles of cakes I offer.

WHAT TYPE OF FLOWERS DO YOU USE?

Flowers used on cakes are fresh flowers that have been safely prepped. Do keep an open mind when it comes to flowers as I cannot always guarantee that the flowers you are after would be available at the florist, however, I will keep to the colour scheme you prefer. With a sufficient notice, I can also source edible flowers, both dried or fresh from an organic flower farming.

I can also create contemporary flower arrangement using wafer paper, which are edible. 

CAN I CANCEL THE CAKE I HAVE ORDERED?

All orders cancelled after a deposit is paid will incur a £50 administration fee for multi tiered cakes and £25 for single tiered cakes. Refund will not be issued for cancellation within 3 weeks of the pickup/ delivery date.


HOW SHOULD I TRANSPORT THE CAKE?

The best place to keep the cake during transportation is on the floor or the boot of the car on top of a nonslip mat, or safely secured from each side, so the box don't move during the drive. Make sure to keep the an aircon on at all times and do not leave the cake in a direct sunlight!

DO YOU OFFER ASSORTED DESSERTS/TREAT BOXES?

From time to time, I offer assorted dessert boxes that may include cake slices, various desserts and cupcakes. These assorted dessert/treat boxes are only available on selected dates and an announcement for pre-orders will be made through Instagram/Facebook posts.

HOW MUCH NOTICE DO I HAVE TO GIVE?

I recommend  3 - 6 months notice for wedding cake order and 2 - 4 weeks notice for other orders. However, if the date you are after is not within the time frame, I may (although this is not a guarantee) still be able to fit you in. Feel free to drop me an email or Whatsapp message to check.

DO YOU PROVIDE CAKE TASTINGS?

Yes! They are provided on selected dates once a month and are open to anyone who wants to sample the cakes.

The cost for a cake tasting box is £30.00. The cake tasting box will consist of 6 generous portions of our signature flavours, which you can view here

IS DELIVERY AVAILABLE?

Deliveries are available free of charge within the DE55 district. For all other orders, deliveries can be arranged for a fee of £0.45 per mile for the round trip.

Once the cake is delivered your order should be inspected. No refunds will be given for damage caused after the cake is delivered.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE CAKE?

Payments can be made through online banking. Full bank details will be provided once your order is confirmed. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date. Your date is not secure even after discussions until your deposit is paid. The remainder of your payment for a wedding cake order must be made a minimum of 2 weeks before the event date and for all other orders a minimum 2 days before pickup/ delivery.

DO YOU CATER TO DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

Our kitchen processes eggs, gluten, nuts & dairy, therefore we cannot guarantee that a product will be 100% allergen free.

You must let us know at the time of ordering if you are intolerant to any of these ingredients.

We do not offer egg or dairy free cakes.

Gluten free options are available on request.

CAN YOU SUPPLY A CAKE TOPPER?

Yes. Cake toppers can be sourced for your convenience with a minimum of one week notice. Please enquire for a quote.

HOW DO I SERVE AND STORE THE CAKE?

All cakes are stored in a refrigerator prior to collection or delivery. This means if you serve your cake immediately, it will be firm and cold ... not the best way to enjoy cake!

Please allow your cake approx 1hr, to come to room temperature before serving. Any leftover cake should be consumed within 2-3 days to enjoy the optimum freshness. Any leftover cake should be kept in an airtight container up to 7 days in the refrigerator.
