Preparing and making food has always been an essential part of my life. I have wonderful memories growing up in the rural heartland of Poland where food is grown and made lovingly from scratch. Days spent on fruit picking, cultivating a garden, splitting peas, collecting cornflowers or making jams with my family. To this day, it is something I love and long for. So food is part of me, and sweet food especially.

In my early twenties, I moved to England to study business and shortly after started my office career; but was never able to find that one job to keep me still. I soon realised I was climbing a ladder to nowhere, and so I started to bake cakes, bringing back childhood flavours and letting my imagination run free. I found myself baking more and more cakes for friends and family.

At that point, I already knew that I love making cakes and it’s what I was meant to do.

Living in the beautiful Derbyshire and soaking up the beautiful natural surroundings, I found a connection with my home country. I had an opportunity to make a wedding cake for a friend and the joy that it delivered to the bride and groom and that uncontrollable happiness of accomplishment I felt, got me hooked.  It’s not just a job, it’s my true calling. I’m passionate about creating unique designs and knowing that it will become an intergraded part of a special day.
